Year Two is made up of Squids Class and Turtles Class. In Squids Class is Mrs Carter, Mrs O’Brien, Mrs Knight and Mrs Austin-Whittle. In Turtles Class is Mrs Lowe and Mrs Steel, and we are very lucky to get to share Mrs Hill across the Year 2 classes for the Autumn Term. Our PE days are Mondays and Thursdays.

Our whole school phonics scheme is: Twinkl Phonics
We are currently learning our level 6 spelling rules. Alongside learning the new spelling rules we also recap our level 3, 4 and 5 sounds, and the tricky words. Children need to be confident in recognising all level 3,4 and 5 sounds, level 6 spellings rules and the tricky words to support their reading as well as use these within their writing.

Y2 were lucky to work with Splodge Designs and the Hornpipe Theatre Trust which was a charity funded project. The children created storyboards and puppets around their own superhero.
