Jack Frost is here! Our book of the week is Jack Frost. Last week it was a non fiction book called Penguins. We have been exploring our environment to look at the weather changes. The children have loved finding ice! One day we filled our water tray up with water and put natural materials in the water, like leaves and sticks. We wondered if it was freeze the leaves and sticks over night. The next morning, we discovered that the cold weather had frozen everything! We then poured water onto the ice to see if it would melt it… and it did! Our skill this half term is to learn to ask and answer questions! What happens to ice over time? What do penguins eat? How do they keep warm? Do penguins go to sleep? These are some of the questions we will be answering this half term 😌
